Inner Mongolia promotes the reorganization of coal enterprises to build 20 coal enterprises with revenue exceeding 10 billion

On the afternoon of March 16, the government of the autonomous region held a regional merger and reorganization meeting for coal enterprises in Hohhot to study and deploy the merger and reorganization of coal enterprises.

Recently, the Autonomous Regional Government issued the "Work Plan for Merger and Reorganization of Coal Enterprises in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region" and decided to reduce the number of local coal companies in the region from 353 to 80-100 through mergers and reorganizations from 2011 to 2013. In the local enterprises, large-scale coal enterprises have been formed with 1-2 households of 100 million tons, 5-6 households with 50 million tons, and 15-16 households with 10 million tons, of which 20 have an operating income exceeding 10 billion yuan. Through the merger and reorganization, the minimum production scale of the coal enterprises in the region has been raised to 1.2 million tons, and the level of equipment has been fully mechanized and the safety production level has been further improved. The meeting pointed out that all localities and departments must fully understand the significance of mergers and acquisitions of coal enterprises, and the implementation of mergers and reorganizations of coal enterprises is a major strategic plan made by the State Council and a major adjustment of the coal industry structure. The meeting emphasized that the merger and reorganization of coal enterprises shall be undertaken by the respective coalition and cities, and the chief responsible person of the Allied Administrative Office and the Municipal People's Government shall be the first responsible person.
