Beta-Chin alloy has high strength, excellent stamping performance, and can be strengthened by quenching and aging. In the ageing state, the microstructure of the alloy is the fine-phase and dispersed a-phase particles.
The typical grade of beta titanium alloy is TB1, and its composition is Ti-3A1-13V-11 Cr. It is generally used below 350°C. It is suitable for heavy-duty rotors such as compressor blades, shafts, and discs, as well as aircraft components.
