Introduction
EPchem® RRU-0708 is polyolefin based material containing inorganic flame retardant, antioxidant, lubricant, etc., produced by mixing, plasticizing and then pelletizing. RRU-0708 is appropriate for sheath of remote subunit cables and so on.
RRU-0708 is excellent in mechanical properties, outstanding resistance to UV and good processability.

Processing
RRU-0708 has good processing performance, can be well processed using PVC and Polyethylene standard extrusion screw, preferring a low compression ratio (1.2 ~ 1.8) screw for the best extrusion effect. In general we recommend the following processing conditions:
  • Extruder L/D: 20~25
  • Filter (mesh): 30~60
  • Temperature setting:
     Zone1    Zone2    Zone3   Zone4    Zone5      Die
    110ºC   120ºC   135ºC  145ºC   150ºC   150~165ºC
The above temperatures are for reference only, but should be adjusted depending on specific equipment.
RRU-0708 can be extruded by squeeze die but also squeeze tube die.

Storage
These compounds must be stored under the following conditions:
  1. closed and undamaged bags
  2. ambient temperature does not exceed 45ºC
  3. avoid direct exposure to sunlight and weathering
  4. shelf life:12 months.
Package
To be packed in aluminum foil bag inside and kraft paper bags outside, 25kg net each; or damp-proof cabinets on pallet, 1000kg net each.
