What is a safety shoe, it is a general term for safety shoes and protective shoes, also known as labor insurance shoes. Generally refers to footwear that is worn in different workplaces to protect the feet and legs from foreseeable injuries. Safety protective shoes are high-tech and high value-added footwear products. The production process of safety protective shoes has high requirements on raw materials, auxiliary materials, chemical materials, mechanical equipment, etc. At present, many domestic footwear with certain scale and grades Enterprises have turned their attention to safety protection shoes, a market segment that has been occupied by developed countries.

Classification of safety shoes

First, according to industrial needs, safety shoes can be classified into the following types: PVC protective safety shoes, outdoor sports safety shoes, ordinary safety shoes, insulated safety shoes, miner safety shoes, anti-chemical safety shoes, insulation protective safety shoes, non-slip Set of safety shoes, sports safety shoes, oil-resistant mining safety shoes, anti-chemical safety shoes, health and safety shoes, oil-resistant safety shoes, miners safety shoes, insulated safety shoes, oil-resistant rubber safety shoes, warm safety shoes...

Second, according to the sole classification: the sole is generally made of polyurethane material injection molding, with oil-resistant safety shoes, wear-resistant safety shoes, acid and alkali safety shoes, insulated safety shoes, waterproof safety shoes, lightweight safety shoes. Safety shoes are 2-3 times more wear resistant than ordinary rubber soles. The safety shoes are light and safe, and the shoes are soft and the weight of the safety shoes is only 50%-60% of the rubber sole.

Third, according to the functional classification of safety shoes: toe smash-proof shoes, insulated shoes, anti-static shoes, conductive shoes, steel-making shoes, rubber boots, winter shoes

(1) Toe protection shoes. Mainly to prevent objects from hurting the feet and toes. For example, a drum that rolls when carrying heavy loads or loading and unloading materials, a heavy pipe hits the foot or inadvertently kicks a sharp metal plate. The front head of the shoe is lined with a metal material with good impact resistance, high strength and light weight. The strength and impact resistance of the shoe must be tested and the standard can be used. Be careful to choose safety shoes of different strengths according to the weight of the work.

(2) Insulated shoes. The role of insulated shoes is to minimize the risk of electric shock. Because the current flows into the ground through the human body through the contact point when the electric shock occurs, not only the insulated gloves but also the insulated shoes are required for electrical work. According to the pressure range, there are several kinds of insulated shoes of 20kV, 6kV and 5kV, which must be selected according to the working range. Insulated shoes should be inspected and maintained frequently. If they are wet or worn, they will not be protected.

(3) Anti-static and conductive shoes. Anti-static shoes are suitable for preventing accidents caused by static electricity in the human body, and avoiding accidental electric shock to the human body caused by 220V power frequency capacitor equipment. Conductive shoes are used in places where fire or explosion may occur that is more sensitive to human static electricity. Some of these shoes are safety shoes and rubber shoes with anti-static or conductive soles. The whole shoe does not use metal to reduce the possibility of friction and fire. The shoe is tested for resistance from the beginning. Regular tests are then carried out to ensure that the maximum resistance of the shoe does not exceed the permissible value.

(4) Steelmaking shoes and shoe covers. These shoes are also called caster shoes, mainly to prevent the burning of the feet. These shoes are resistant to pressure and are not easy to burn. The upper is made of oil-impregnated cowhide and canvas-inlaid leather. The soles are made of tire-lined cow leather. In order to prevent the scalding of the molten metal splash, a high waist and easy to take off style is adopted. The shoe cover and the trouser legs can also be covered with a shoe cover, and the shoe cover is mostly made of canvas, asbestos and aluminum film.

(5) Rubber boots. According to its use, it has anti-acid boots, waterproof boots and oil-proof shoes. The acid-proof and alkali-resistant boots are suitable for the place where the ground has acid and alkali and other corrosive liquids. They are made of acid and alkali resistant rubber, and also have anti-acid and alkali pants boots with pants and boots. The waterproof boots are used for water or splashing water. The basic materials are rubber, miner waterproof boots, special boots for aquatic products, and transplanted boots. Oil-proof shoes are used for oily work on the ground. They are made of rubber or polyethylene plastic, and have boots and shoes.

(6) Cold-proof shoes. It is suitable for wearing in cold and low temperature environment. It has cotton shoes, fur boots and felt boots, etc. It has good thermal insulation performance.

In addition to the above protective shoes, there are also suitable for the construction of road workers to heat the soles, suitable for the reinforcement of the soles of construction workers, protective shoes for the moisture of the soles of food and wine workers, and so on.

Safety shoes

Safety shoes can have a variety of protection functions: anti-mite, anti-puncture, oil resistance, non-slip insulation, anti-static, acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance, folding resistance, exhaust perspiration, waterproof, etc.

Anti-mite--Adopting industry standard (protecting toe safety shoes LD50-94), the inner lining of the protection toe safety shoes is steel toe cap, which has anti-static and impact resistance, stab-proof, anti-mite, very safe, Inspection, pressure resistance is 10KN, toe impact resistance 23KG impact hammer from 450MM height free fall impact on the toe, the shoe deformation gap >= 15MM, mainly for mining, mechanical construction safety, metallurgy, steel, port lifting and other heavy industries Used in the industry to protect the toe from the safety of leather shoes, with rubber and elastomer support, comfortable to wear, and does not affect daily labor operations.

Anti-puncture - protects the foot from stab wounds, can withstand a penetration force of 1100N, national special standard.

Anti-static--anti-static leather shoes are produced according to GB4385-1995 standard, the resistance value range is 100K'Ω-1000M'Ω, the product has good air permeability, anti-static, wear-resistant, anti-skid and other functions, mainly suitable for aviation, aerospace The dangerous industry has played a role in avoiding flammable and explosive accidents caused by static electricity.

Oil resistant - tested according to the oil resistance standard, the volume increase is not more than 12%. If the volume does not increase, but shrinks, the amount of reduction is greater than 0.5% of the original volume or the hardness increases by more than 10 (Shore A), and the crack growth of 40,000 times according to GB/T 3903.1 is not more than 7 mm.

Non-slip--rubber tendon bottom, excellent anti-slip performance.

Acid and alkali resistance - in line with GB12018-89 standard requirements.

Insulation--Insulated shoes can be worn as auxiliary safety equipment and labor protection articles when working on AC 50HZ, 1000V and below or DC 1500V and below.

Wear-resistant - high quality rubber sole for a variety of environments.

Cold-proof shoes are used for foot protection of low temperature workers to protect against frostbite.

Waterproof - Water shoes are used in workplaces where water or water is splashed.

In addition to the above functions, there are also suitable for the construction of the soles of the road workers, suitable for the reinforcement of the soles of construction workers, protective shoes for the moisture of the soles of food and winemakers, and so on.

Type of safety sole

Different safety shoes are required according to different work places; then different safety shoes need to be configured with different soles.

The safety sole is also called the outsole and can be easily divided according to the material: using natural rubber or synthetic rubber. Commonly available are all rubber, vulcanized rubber, or polyvinyl chloride. The soles are mainly resistant to abrasion, chemical corrosion, heat insulation and oil. However, due to the different characteristics of the materials, the functions are also different. The sole of the safety shoe is fitted with a steel sheet, which is used to prevent the sole from being pierced or hard. In addition, soles made from certain materials can reduce the generation of static electricity or slow down the rate of electrostatic discharge. This can control the possibility of static electricity causing an explosion or fire. In addition to the use of a non-slip rubber sole, the design of the sole is also important for the anti-slip function. The rubber sole not only has a good wear resistance, but also has a good anti-slip function.

1. Natural rubber: The advantage of natural rubber is that it is very soft and has excellent elasticity. It is suitable for sports shoes of various sports, but the shortcoming is also obvious that it is not wearable. Indoor sports shoes are mostly made of natural rubber.

Second, synthetic rubber is divided into wear-resistant rubber, environmentally friendly rubber, air rubber, viscous rubber, hard rubber, plus carbon rubber.

(1) Wear-resistant rubber: The wear resistance and toughness of wear-resistant rubber are very good, so it is very durable. This rubber material is generally used on the outsole of tennis shoes.

(2) Environmentally friendly rubber: Also known as recycled rubber, this rubber outsole contains up to 10% recycled rubber, the main purpose is to protect the environment.

(3) Air rubber: The rubber contains air and has a certain shock absorption function, but it is not very wear-resistant and the use is not very extensive.

(4) Viscous rubber: Viscous rubber is characterized by good flexibility and very non-slip, and is generally used in indoor sports shoes.

(5) Hard rubber: Hard rubber is the most comprehensive rubber in the outsole rubber material. It is tough, non-slip and very wear-resistant. It is also widely used. Most of the multi-purpose shoes and basketball shoes use this rubber to make the outsole.

(6) Adding carbon rubber: Carbon is added to the ordinary rubber material to make the rubber more tough and wear-resistant. Most of the running shoes use this kind of rubber, and the BRS letters are left in the back part of the running shoe sole. It means that the rubber is added to the outsole.

Third, the rubberized outsole: This outsole is not common. The raw material of this kind is the industrial glue. It is heated by the stirring of the mixer and then into the mold. It is characterized by softness and very slip resistance.

According to the different positions of use, it can be easily divided into: insole and integral sole

1. Insole: The insole can also be regarded as a form of the midsole. Unlike the midsole, the insole structure is wrapped in the bottom of the sole of the shoe, not as overall as the exterior looks. The rubber outsole is actually covered with a midsole on the inner side of the rubber outsole. This midsole is also called the MD midsole and is a kind of EVA foaming.

Second, the overall sole:

(1) The most common sole is the EVA one-time foaming sole. This sole has a low cost and is non-slip and poor. The sole is like wearing roller skates when it is wet.

(2) PU overall sole: PU sole is a sole formed by low temperature molding. The characteristics of the PU bottom are light, but it is not suitable for water. When it encounters water, it will react chemically, and the layer will corrode.

(3) Pure rubber sole: Pure rubber sole is mostly used for outdoor hiking shoes, or work shoes, electric shoes. The whole sole is composed of all rubber, and the advantage is that it is wear-resistant and non-slip. The disadvantage is that the weight is too large. Work shoes produced by Slida Footwear generally use this sole, also known as insulated soles.

Development of safety shoes

Classification of safety soles with multiple raw material combinations and their development

Polyurethane (PU)

The simplest shoes are made from a single-density polyurethane outsole. Polyurethane soles must have two tasks: first, they must feel comfortable, and the soles are light. Second, it is also very important, that is, safety issues such as slip. In fact, it's hard to combine these two features, and in most cases, only one of them will perform correctly.

The density of polyurethane soles is mostly around 0.8g/cm3, which is commonly used in the casual footwear industry. The production of single-density shoes is very simple and effective, but the products produced are still high-end commercial shoes.

For more than 20 years, the footwear industry has been producing double-density polyurethane shoes using machines that can be directly injection molded.

The combination of a dense polyurethane outsole and a lightweight and comfortable midsole makes it possible to combine the two features of the shoe. Outriggers can be made from very dense materials to provide greater abrasion resistance and impart good slip and grease resistance. A foamed polyurethane system can be used to make the midsole so that the shoes are more comfortable to wear and even lighter.

The production of shoes is different from the processing of single-density shoes. In the first step, a dense outsole needs to be injected into the closed mold. After a certain period of reaction, the upper part of the midsole and the outsole is injection molded, and a simple shoe sample is successfully passed through the bonding of the sole to the upper.

In most cases, this combination of materials is used in the safety footwear industry because in this industry, both a comfortable appearance and excellent characteristics are sought. But in casual footwear, there are many interesting designs that use a combination of polyurethane/polyurethane materials. The density of the dense outsole is mainly 0.9 g/cm3, while the density of the midsole is mostly 0.45 g/cm3.

For safety shoes, the adhesion of the two layers exceeds the required standard, and the midsole can be made with a thinner layer.
