Thank you for your long-standing concern and support for the work of the School of Materials. The employment of the 2011 graduates of our college has started. The basic situation of our graduates is as follows:

There were 444 graduates in 2011, undergraduate materials science and engineering (superhard materials direction), 93 classes, material abrasives, a class of 37 people, special ceramics, a class of 27 people, polymer materials and engineering II There are 53 classes in each class; three classes are specially promoted, including 32 classes for special classes and 57 classes for two classes in polymer direction; two specialties for materials, 76 for materials engineering and two for abrasives, and two for abrasives. Class 69 people.

Attached to the professional introduction, in which inorganic non-metallic materials and engineering majors are newly established in 2009, the current graduating class under the special Tao Tao direction is implemented according to this training program, but now the professional name is not inorganic non-professional.

Materials Science and Engineering (4 years undergraduate)

This major trains students with the basic theories, professional knowledge, basic skills and basic qualities of research and development necessary for the science and engineering of inorganic non-metallic materials. Graduates can engage in scientific research and technology development in the fields of research and analysis of the structure of inorganic non-metallic materials (abrasive abrasive manufacturing, superhard materials and products, special ceramics), preparation of materials and products, material forming and processing, etc. Work on process and equipment design, production, operation and management. The major includes three major directions: abrasives, superhard materials and products, and special ceramics. Among them, abrasives, superhard materials and products are the only professional directions in the national colleges and universities.

This specialty trains applied engineering and technical personnel who can work in scientific research, technology development, process and equipment design, production and operation management in the fields of synthetic modification and processing of polymer materials. Master the relationship between the composition, structure and properties of polymer materials, the basic theory and basic skills of polymer material molding process and machinery and mold design; have the skills, experiments and calculations, and the necessary polymers for the professional Material process design, production management skills, and the initial ability to read and translate English materials in this professional, proficient in computer operations and the ability to use a computer for mold-assisted design.

Inorganic non-metallic materials and engineering (four-year undergraduate degree in science and engineering)

This major cultivates the basic theories, professional knowledge, basic skills and basic qualities of research and development necessary for the scientific and engineering aspects of inorganic non-metallic materials. It can be used in the research and analysis of the structure of inorganic non-metallic materials, the preparation of materials, and the molding of materials. Applied engineering and technical personnel engaged in scientific research, technology development, process and equipment design, production and operation management in the fields of processing. After graduation, students can work in teaching, design, research, manufacturing, technology development and management in institutions of higher learning, factories and mines, and research and design units related to materials.

During the school, students are given initial training in the necessary knowledge and skills of abrasive abrasive professional engineers. After graduation, students will be employed in abrasives, superhard materials, inorganic non-metallic materials and related industries. Mainly engaged in formula design and experiment, new process development and promotion, production process and quality management, product sales and after-sales service and other jobs.

This major trains applied engineering and technical personnel who can engage in the needs of the superhard materials industry. During the school, students get initial training from professional engineers of super-hard materials and products. After graduation, they will be employed in related industries such as super-hard materials (synthetic diamond and CBN), super-hard materials, powder metallurgy materials, etc., mainly engaged in formula design and experiment, new Products, new process development, new technology promotion and application, product quality management, production process organization management, marketing and other work.

1. ON/OFF : Switch.

2. m/ft: it means the conversion between metric and foot. If you select (m), the displayed data is based on metric. If you select (ft) ,the displayed data is based on foot.

3. SM: Store the data. You could save the data that shows on the display panel by pressing this button. It could store 5 records that respectively show on M1, M2,M3, M4, M5.( Refer to Table 1)

4. RM: Extract the stored data from SM. For example, if you have already stored the measuring data 5M as M1, 10M as M2. But now the measuring data is 120.7M, you could press the bottom RM once then the digital display panel will shows the the data of M1. The top right of the display panel shows [R". The data of the digital display panel will return to the present data after two seconds. ( Refer to Table 2). If you press the RM twice, the data of the M2 will show on the display panel, the [R" also is on the top right. The data of the digital display panel will return to the present data again after two seconds.

5. CLR: Clearance. Once you press this button, the present data will be deleted.

4.Precautions for use

Please open the handle lock to adjust the suitable height of this instrument at first and then close it before using the instrument. Put away the kickstand and turn on the power. Put the wheel on the road to be measured when the data is 0.0m on the digital display panel. Please press the bottom CLR if you want to delete the present data.

1. Please go straight if you want to measure a straight line to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.

2. Do not measure uneven surfaces because it will reduce the accuracy.

3. Do not measure in the rain for a long time.

4. Do not use the instrument under the high temperature environment or keep this product in the high temperature place.

5. Please open the battery cover by using the cross-head screwdriver and change the battery when the digital display panel is dark.

6. Do not deal with the used batteries by yourself, please send them to the government designated place where to recycle them.

7. Please remove the battery and clean the instrument by use the mild detergent to prevent rust if you haven`t used it for a long time. Then please pack it well and save it in the rough place.

8. Do not use benzene solution to clean the instrument, otherwise its surface will be corroded.

9. Do not use this the instrument as a toy for child for avoiding unnecessary damage.
